The practice of Bio
The land owned by the company is poor because it consists mostly of Galestro. This element is a clayey schist, born from the compression of clay, which is easily divided into prismatic solids. This type of soil helps in the practice of Bio because of its draining characteristic, as it does not allow both the growth of weeds and moisture to remain on the vine.
Today the vines are 80% sangiovese, 12% cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc and merlot and 8% autochthonous (colorino, pugnitello, ciliegiolo and round leaf).
In 2019 Vermentino and Grechetto were also planted, and at the highest point of the estate Antonio found a giant stone during the work, next to which riesling has now been planted.
